Summer Wedding Style Tips

Oh, no! It's wedding season again and you're still trying to figure out how to hide the wobbly bits and enhance the buff ones. Before you start panicking about the next big summer soiree, keep these tips in mind:

  • Summer doesn't mean only strapless. (Just try to say that three times fast). For whatever reason, the fashion gods deemed strapless to be the only summer dress style at most weddings. If you're feeling insecure about your guns, look for a more flattering style. Even a sheer bolero type jacket or artfully arranged shawl can give the illusion of baring more.
  • Choose color focal point. Maybe it's your coral lips; or perhaps it's your artfully sun streaked hair, but you can add new life to last year's party standard dress by choosing something else to highlight. I wore basic black lace to my brother's wedding a few months back but paired it with killer fuchsia shoes - the only thing that anyone talked about for days.
  • Work up a sweat. some people are so self-conscious about what they eat or how they dance, that they forget that summer celebrations can be a great opportunity to sneak in an extra workout. Stop worrying about the sweat stains and remember to just dance the night away!
